See the Chicks Hatch!!
from webcam pointing at Bl.2's incubator
We have set up an incubator in our classroom.
When a bird lays eggs it normally sits on them for about 21 days to keep them warm so that they can hatch. An incubator is like a heated box that can keep eggs warm instead of the mother bird.
We have 23 chicken eggs in our class incubator. They are expected to start hatching on about Wednesday 3rd February and it may take about 2 days for all of them to hatch.
The children are waiting with excitement for the chicks to hatch.
Below are the images from a webcam pointing at the incubator. The images are renewed every 30 seconds.
