Winter Poems

Monday brought in the floods,

Washing debris from the woods.

On Tuesday the icy wind bellows,

There are people sleeping rough, poor fellows.

On Wednesday the north wind does blow,

And gives my face a bright red glow.

Saturday sees snowflakes dancing,

The light behind them is entrancing.

On Sunday the land is like an iced cake

And we're all going to the frozen lake.

Monday winds were harshly blowing

And children's cheeks were glowing.

Tuesday, icy rain was falling,

You could hear the birds calling.

On Wednesday Jack Frost paid a visit,

It's definitely not summer is it.

Saturday was stormy with thunder and lightning,

It really was very frightening.
