On July 7th Ysgol Deganwy held their sports day. Fortunately, the weather was fine, sunny and hot. The whole school is divided into 3 houses, Creuddyn, Gogarth and Maelgwn.

      Each class had two or three races including running, obstacle, sack, skipping and wet sponge race. In the wet sponge race, each house had a tub of water, an empty bucket and a sponge. You dipped the sponge into the water and ran as fast as you could to the bucket waiting at the end of the field. You squeezed as much water out as possible and ran back. The winners were the team whose bucket contained most water after roughly 5 minutes. In that race Creuddyn won.

       The overall winners were Maelgwn, second were Gogarth and Creuddyn were third.
