Deganwy Promenade Day

On Saturday 30th May, Deganwy had its first Promenade day for over 15 years. There were lots of events, stalls, rides and competitions. The weather was gorgeously sunny so lots and lots of people turned up. 

After the mayor of Conwy had crowned Emily as princess of Deganwy and her sister as Queen, visiting carnival queens and princesses from other areas presented gifts. 

 

The dog competition including categories such as the scruffiest dog, best pedigree dog and the dog with the waggiest tail. 

 

Minnie, Sarah's puppy, won a prize in the best groomed puppy competition.

The prom was very busy.

The Conwy Majorettes performed on the green. The leader threw her baton high. 

 

The Deganwy Dash was held as a curtain-raiser the evening before prom day. About a hundred runners raced for five miles along the cycle path and Deganwy prom to Conwy and back to the Finnish at Deganwy prom.
