Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas child is a charity that gives children who live in poverty a better Christmas. Year after year children are killed in wars and die of hunger. By our collecting boxes, the children have something to look forward to.
This year the children of our school filled shoe boxes with small toys and toiletries for children who are less fortunate than we are. We wrapped them in Christmas wrapping paper to make them look nice.

On Friday 14th November a lady from Wrexham came to collect the boxes to take them to send away to third world countries.
There was a choice to send your box to a boy or a girl and a choice of age groups. The age groups were 2-4, 5-9 and 10-14. The majority of boxes was for ages 5-9.
Lots of other schools also donate boxes.
Thank-you everyone who helped collect boxes, the school collected 105 boxes for Operation Christmas child. Teachers and children all helped. Miss Russell brought an extra 15 boxes from another school so over-all we donated 120 boxes.
