Mr Roberts Retires
At the end of the summer term, 2009, Mr Roberts will be
retiring. He has been head teacher of Ysgol Deganwy for 17 years, during which
time the school has undergone some notable changes: the number of pupils on roll
has grown substantially, parts of the school buildings have been modernised and
expanded, and there has been extensive development and landscaping of the school
grounds.
During Mr Roberts's headship the school has had some excellent inspection reports, culminating, after the latest one, in Deganwy being listed by Estyn, the inspecting authority, as among the nine best primary schools in Wales for that year.
The governors, staff, pupils and parents all wish Mr Roberts and a long and happy retirement.
In September 2009 Mr Gwyn Pleming, at present head of a school in Anglesey, will become the new head teacher. All at Ysgol Deganwy wish him every success.
