The lollypop lady
visits Dosbarth Derbyn

Aunty
Bev the lollypop lady came to tell us how to cross the road safely.
She
wears a uniform so people know who she is and can see her from far away. It is a
bright yellow coat and cap with reflective strips. She also has a stop sign.

The
lollypop lady stops the traffic.
We wait until the lollypop lady tells us to cross.

We have to look left and right before crossing the road.

We
then asked the lollypop lady some questions about her job.
The
visit from the lollypop lady initiated a discussion about other people who help
us in the community. This led to the children being involved in different
activities about people who help us in the community.
Anna completes a puzzle about
people who help us in the community.

Siobhan, Shania, Ishbel and Megan
played a game about people who help us in the community.
Siobhan
pretends to be a lollypop lady and then a police woman while playing in the
house. Siobhan plays well with others. She shares, takes turns, talks with
others, and listens well.
Connor pretends to be a fireman in
the house. He uses his problem solving skills to save the monkey from the top of
the sign.

Connor
builds a long stick from mobilo and uses the stick to save the monkey. He makes
the stick longer, and stretches up so high his helmet falls off. Finally he
saves the monkey. Connor and monkey are very happy.
