Deganwy and Area

Deganwy is a large village on the mouth of the river Conwy in Wales. It is 2 miles in one direction from the ancient town of Conwy and 2 miles from the large holiday resort of Llandudno in the other.
It is also close to the Snowdonia National Park.
Although Deganwy may not be well-known today, over 1500 years ago the colourful king Maelgwn, who ruled a large part of Wales, had his court and palace here.
