On Monday January 28th a lady called Mandy Coates came to help Blwyddyn 2 build a willow tunnel on the school field.
Blwyddyn 2 helped her all day. Mandy had to weave the willow sticks in and out of the willow arches. Some children helped Mandy put the willow in the ground. Other children helped Mandy to cut the special string and to weave the willow in a pattern.
You can walk through the willow tunnel. In the spring we hope to see some leaves growing on the willow! By the summer, the willow tunnel should be full of leaves.
We thought that Mandy was very clever!
