Deganwy library visit

Sharon reading the story about the boy who ate books.

On the 11th of April Blwyddyn 4 visited the local library. It was raining, but luckily we had brought our rain coats and flat shoes in case we slipped.

We arrived safely and were greeted by the librarian supervisors,Nia, Sharon and Tracy. We had a quick look around and then Tracy told us to grab a cushion and sit on the colourful carpet.

Sharon told us an interesting story about a boy who ate books. It was a lovely story and I enjoyed it.

We then got split in to three groups. The first activity my group did was to draw your favourite character from any book. I chose Homer Simpson out of the Simpsons. I think he is funny and he makes me laugh.

A group drawing their favorite story characters.

The second activity involved getting to know the library. I learned that the books are in alphabetical order. The third activity was going on the computers, looking at books on the internet and learning about the Young Conwy.

At the end of the session Tracy gave us a joining pack and we thanked them for allowing us to visit that morning. We hope that everyone will join and make use of Deganwy library.
