24 Maths Game

Here is Hannah under pressure.

On the 21st of April six pupils from Year 6 went to Nant Y Coed to take part in the 24  maths game inter-school competition.  It is a mathematical game where your aim is to make 24 out of four numbers. You can use division, multiplication, subtraction and addition, but you can only employ the numbers once.

The six pupils were; Lauren, Geraint, Victoria, Benjamin, Hannah and Kasia. They left school at 3:40pm and returned at 6pm.

There were over 100 pupils altogether in the hall at Nant Y Coed but only twenty got through to the finals. Kasia and Hannah made it through to the finals but didn’t make it into the top 8 who went through to the MEGA FINALS. We would like to thank Mrs Gunn and Mrs Williams Bl 5/6 for transport and support.

Victoria, feeling the heat!

This picture shows Kasia concentrating on the card in hand.
